Department Manager – Textile

Job Summary

The Department Manager – Textile is responsible for managing the overall performance of the textile department, including sales, merchandising, inventory control, team leadership, and customer experience. The role focuses on driving revenue, maintaining visual standards, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations

Key Responsibilities

• Achieve department sales and margin targets

• Manage daily operations of the textile department

• Ensure effective visual merchandising and displays

• Maintain optimum stock levels and size availability

• Control stock ageing, damages, and shrinkage

• Lead, train, and motivate department staff

• Allocate targets and manage staff rosters

• Deliver excellent customer service and handle complaints

• Ensure SOP, safety, and loss prevention compliance

• Prepare sales and stock reports

Qualifications & Experience

• 3–6 years of experience in textile/apparel retail
